What happens during a home eye test?

Our qualified optometrist will visit you with portable equipment to carry out a full eye examination, check your vision, and assess your eye health. The appointment usually takes approximately 30 minutes.

Can I switch to your service from another optician?

Yes. Switching is simple. With your permission, we can obtain your previous optical records from your current optician.

Who qualifies for a free NHS home eye test?

Patients aged 60+, those on eligible benefits, or individuals unable to leave home without assistance. Please see our eligibility page for more information.

I am not eligible for a free sight test. Do you provide private sight tests?

How do you handle residents lacking capacity?

We carry out assessments gently and at the resident’s pace, and our team is trained to recognise non-verbal cues and adapt the examination accordingly. We use the latest portable technology to assist us in completing thorough assessments with minimal disruption. No resident is ever excluded from receiving eye care because of their capacity.

Do you visit care homes or assisted living facilities?

Yes. We regularly visit care homes and assisted living facilities to provide professional eye care for residents.

How much does a private home eye test cost?

If you are not eligible for an NHS-funded eye test, we offer affordable private home eye examinations. Please contact us for current pricing and available offers.

Can I be seen by your company if I have already been seen by another optician?

Yes. You can switch to our services at any time. If you are experiencing any visual problems, are due for your regular eye test, or if you would like a better service, contact us today
